About My Family Tree -EDMONDSON/WALSHAM/HUGHES/LEAH
Please sign in to see more.
Hi there!
Welcome to my web page who`s main function is to share my Family History and hopefully find new cousins and friends along the way. The most direct ancestors and relatives are included here but there are many more links in my file in Gencircles, click on the link below.

I began my quest one day when my Mum came home from work having been reading a plaque on the wall at a nursing home once owned by Alfred HOLT, a well known ship builder in Liverpool who set up the Blue Funnel Line `China Boats`. She said her mum told her once `they`, meaning the EDMONDSON family were related to them.
I promptly set off to prove this by spending 18 months searching for this EDMONDSON/HOLT marriage that would answer all our questions. What I did produce was lots of notes on the HOLT family and some idea of the fact that HOLT and EDMONDSON were interlinked quite often in Lancashire in the 1800`s but I never did find my connection.

I also became completely hooked and was determined to find at least something interesting about our family. It was also around the same time that Mum`s twin sister died and Mum felt she had lost all connections with her family so I was determined to find a relative to show her there were people out there.

That was almost 10 years ago and I`m still at it! It`s a fascinating hobby and if you are just starting off I can assure you that fellow genealogists and family historians can be one of the most friendliest and helpful groups of people you`ll come across.

Enough of the waffle though, please feel free to browse, comment (constructive critism only please?, link up, ask questions, whatever and if I can help I will. There are several photographs included here, under unknown persons, they were all donated in a folder of family photographs by a cousin, if you think you can recognise any of them or just help to date them, please, please contact me. I`d be happy to supply you with a better copy privately.

Happy Hunting to you!

Sue.

The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
